From critiquing white “feminism” to toxic masculinity to violence against women, the show combines the spectacle of theatre to lay bare the systems of oppression that plaque our colonial capitalist world.
There really is no show like it, where one minute you are at the verge of hot tears witnessing the continued suffering of colonization, and the next minute you are dancing in sweet elated release because the show says all that you wish you had said: when someone tried to touch your hair; when someone asked you “where are you really from?”; when the systems that shame you for choosing not to have children, refuses to pay for childcare when you do have them.
